HDTV flickers momentarily when the fridge compressor turns on!

Since I did not update it here, I thought I should. Anyways, long story short – the stabilizer did not solve the flickering issue.

It appears the problem is with some interference with something not related to the usual flickering which can be resolved with a stabilizer. I am not sure if the 5m long HDMI cable that passes through the wall is causing it. If I were to connect the regular Dell display with the PC, there are no such issues. I shall check with a shorter HDMI cable if it resolves the issue.

Anyways, the stabilizer should be up for sale on the market section shortly. It has been lying idle for almost a couple of months now!

Gannu I have the same issue with my tv. I'm pretty darn sure the problem is the 6m hdmi cable I have and nothing else. Works perfectly fine with the Tata sky and ps3.

Whenever you turn on lights, fans, or microwave the tv flickers and this is only to my pc connection.

i'm having a similar issue with a hdmi cable. if i put the fan on highest setting and after an hour or two if i reduce the speed from 5 to 4, the monitor blanks out for a second after i turn the regulator. this happens only to the tatasky box hdmi cable. does not happen with computer gfx hdmi cable. and this happens even if the tatasky box is connected to ups. weird.

Yeah so the cheap HDMI cable could be the culprit here. I can confirm this if I manage to lug my heavy chassis to the drawing room, connect it to the TV using a smaller 1.2m cable (bundled with the Sapphire GPU) and check it. Will do it and post back sometime later.

I am using a 5mtr cable bought from ebay for Rs400. and hooked it to my DELL XPS. It works fine. I did not face any such issues.
My UPS which was connected to the LED went kaput recently. I was in two minds whether to go for a UPS or a stabilizer. But then went for the VGaurd UPS 600VA (300Watts).
I think you should try with a shorter/ branded HDMI cable maybe the one which came with ur console.
Try powering the TV from a diff power/switch board for testing. I know no concrete logic here... but who knows....
