headphone jack on the iphone

i read somwere on the net dat many headfones dont work properly on the 3.5mm jack on the ifone because it is loose or somthin...... is this true??? im planing to buy the iphone so if there r any other things negatives i plese let me kno....... also i read that some applications dont work wit the 1.1.4?
 
yeah intrestin article,stalker.....so now u hav 2 buy like a thing to connect normal headphones to the ifone!!!.... damn....dats stupd
 
dat is strange causei tried using the ep630s wit my friends ifone but it had problems like the sound was coming only in one ear n u had to press the headphones into the jack to make it sound rite........ wonder wat the problem was

sounds like a loose internal wire in the ep-630's plug...

The ep630 will not work out of the box with the iphone. You have to roll up a small layer of rubber or completely remove it on the ep630 so that the ep630 interfaces properly with the iphone, else you will see the problems you mentioned. I haven't seen any adverse effects of doing this.
 
I was also using ep630 with iphone. But lately noticed problems like not hearing sound thru inbuilt speaker even after removing the earphones. Had to plug in and out couple of times to rectify it. Guess it is not a proper fit and may jam the microswitch (if any) inside the earphone socket.
