Hi

I have Win XP Pro & Win7 Ultimate installed on the machine.
I have recently bought Iball headphones and am using my old Umax Powerhouse 2.1 channel speakers and am using the Bijli cabinet.

When I tried to use the headphone in the front panels, I did'nt hear any sounds nor was I able to record any sounds. But when i removed the speaker lead from the PC and put the headphone cable in it, it worked. But I want to use the speakers & headphones simultaneously. Pls tell how to do the settings?

Secondly, the sound of speakers in XP is very bad and when i play the same files in Win7, it is at its best. Pls tell what could be the possible problems. Can the default settings do the necessary correction & if yes, how to activate default settings?

Seems you have not connected the front panel wires to motherboard.

refer cabinet & motherboard manual & connect them.

easy way - buy Headphone Splitter 3.5mm

XP might not have the latest audio driver+software.

No, they are connected in the motherboard and the drivers have been updated last week only.....

check your bios and see if the front panel output is set to AC 97 and or try disabling jack sensing

^what mobo you are using??
As Haddock have posting, you can get that and can plug it in the back-panal audio out, and can plug the speaker and the headphone jack in the adapter ports.

On second thought, what is the use of both the speaker and the headphone, you will listen only to one, won't you ?

I am using X4 635 Pro and Gig. 785 GA-UD3H.

Headphones are used whenever I want to do chatting online and it can also be used when I donot want to disturb other persons in the room. So I want both....
