Headphone Warranty

I bought a pair of Audio Technicas recently. They worked great but a couple of days ago, the left side stopped working. There is no physical damage. The site states that there is a year long warranty, but i'm not sure how to go about it. I don't think audio technica is present in India!
What should i do!?

call the customer support of the site, state the problem and ask for replacement.
Check your headphone with different devices, if haven't done that already.
