Audio Headphones for around 100$

I wanted buy a pair of headphones form USA for around 100$ , will be buying from Amazon most probably so prices from there would be nice...

Microphone in built would be nice but not necessary

I was looking at Steelseries Siberia V2 USB but read somewhere that there is less bass , is it true ?

Grado SR60i($79) is regarded as best sub$100 by the audiophiles.:bleh:It has brilliant of treble with good bass but if you want little more bass than Grado SR80i($99 though some say it need headphone amplifier for full blooom) or alessandro MS1 will be good option.
I don't know much about Siberia other than they are in Russia and very cold weather :p!!

M50 and AD700 both look very very good , please lemme know the better one as i find the looks and the shape of AD700 better

Thats for you to decide dude, ones a open back(wider soundstage) and the other is a closed back(better isolation). The M50 has more bass than the Ad700(I feel they lack quantity) which is suited for trance, electronic and progressive music.

which will be better for rock and gaming ..... . .. . . . . .though AD700s look more comfy

and at many places it says that you can put bass easily using EQ in AD700

The best $100 headphones according to many reviews out there is the AD700, however I couldnt find any dealers in India, so i got the Sennheiser HD555, which is there in my sig too..xD and is the best alternative for you

oHH LOL....I thought I had it on my sig....anyways will update it...So as you're getting it from the US of A, Its the best you can get out of your $100 IMO. Therefore, IT'S A NO BRAINER!

AD700 if needed for gaming purpose , can make out precisely which bullets come from where ......... and yeah you need a sound card to get the best effects out of it , have tried onboard->ad700 , xonar dx-ad 700 and e5->ad700 would rate xonar-dx ad700 much much greater than the other combos , seriously mind blowing music when i listen to bollywood songs ..... english songs also awesome but if u listen to hard metal songs than its not the best for you personally i dont listen much to metal very few ..... so at the moment ad700 is the best for me

YEAH, heavy metal songs do suck even on my HD555 (xonar dx), though you can tweak the settings to eliminate this problem....I mean to some extent, not completely.

Dude, you'll be wasting your money by buying such high-end headphones and running it through your crappy ipod...So get a good sound card (essence stx or xonar dx) and ENJOY your music!
