Audio Headset Microphone Not Working - MP21

I recently purchased a Sound Magic headset MP21 for use with my mobile.

When I plug the headset to my Mobile 3.5mm jack, I can hear the other party but they can't hear me.

What could be the problem ?

Please mention which mobile you are using? I have seen many Android users having success with MP21.
 
Yeah the mic doesn't work on all phones. It works on all Android phones I have tried but many Nokia phones don't allow non standard accessories.

Try the earphone on a friends Android device and see if it works. If it does then your phone is at fault and the earphone is fine. :(
 
It may work on android phones but thats not my requirement. I need it to work with my phone.
Question is how to make it happen ?
