Audio Headset Microphone Not Working - MP21

I recently purchased a Sound Magic headset MP21 for use with my mobile.

When I plug the headset to my Mobile 3.5mm jack, I can hear the other party but they can't hear me.

What could be the problem ?

Please mention which mobile you are using? I have seen many Android users having success with MP21.

Its a Non Android phone - MVL XS28 !!!

Yeah the mic doesn't work on all phones. It works on all Android phones I have tried but many Nokia phones don't allow non standard accessories.

Try the earphone on a friends Android device and see if it works. If it does then your phone is at fault and the earphone is fine.

It may work on android phones but thats not my requirement. I need it to work with my phone.
Question is how to make it happen ?
