I was wondering if any one is interested in this

AMD 125W Copper Heat Pipe X4 by AVC Heatsink & Fan New | eBay

I calculated using shopabroad and it works out to 4196/- for 5 nos. I find these fans as a better replacement for the stock AMD II ATHLON fans. Let me know guys or better suggestions.

Quote: Rs 4,196.00

Item price + local shipping + taxes RS. 2,610.00

Int'l Shipping RS. 990.00

Duty, Taxes & fees RS. 595.92

They're a lot better than the stock Athlon hsfs but they still suck. They can barely keep Phenoms X6s under 60 (under load) and sound like jet engines when the fan is at full speed (5600RPM, what do you expect?).

If you're going to spend 1k per hsf then you're better off putting some cash in and getting the TX3, which would give lower temps and wouldn't make too much noise under load.

Also, why would you pay so much to get this from out? Try contacting local dealers as they do stock up on stock AMD and Intel stock coolers. If not, contact your nearest AMD service centre.

1)well i said they are good for AMD Athlon II series.

2)the shipping is sure expensive

3) I have contacted local dealers and stuff, all they have is the normal hsf, which is no good. I contacted AMD distri's too. No luck.

4) I got one of this earlier when my relative was travelling from US to India. so i saved on shipping and taxes. I got a nice AVC cooler for 5 $ :)

Not Worth it IMHO.
Get a U12P-Se with that kind of money and be happy.
Its 5 heatsinks in a lot. How can you compare it with U12P, better would be TX3 or Hyper Plus ofcourse at a bit higher price...

I dont want to spend over 500-600 for a hsf on a pc that will be run for office apps or surfing web only. I assembled a pc for a pal of mine with MSI 785 GTM-e45 and AMD Athlon x4630 - with stock HSF, the temp in bios screem are at 48-50 , which i dont like. So i am looking for a cheaper alternative.

I don't expect this to be any lesser than 45c.

Either way, would you like to try this cooler out? That very cooler which I got with my X6 is currently being used as a paper weight on the desk infront of me. I can't sell it as I'd need it to claim warranty and its too big to do anything else with. This is if you're willing to pay for shipping to and fro, ofcourse :)

Yes, just for trial purposes as I'd need the hsf back if I need to claim warranty.

Still too expensive. Have you asked local dealers?
