1) Pushed the combo to 2.8 GHZ.....din't try any further :rofl:
2) Swapped the mini stock cooler
with the P4 cooler ...and saw 3 degrees in temp drop :clap: 3) My 5.1 Creative Live! Blaster went into one of those PCI's :rofl: so the PCI slot is confirmed to be working too........
4) Setup runs 24x7 @ 2.4 Ghz , stock volts on vcore , mem , fsb : 1066 , memory : 800 , 3:2 ratio , SuperPi 1M in 24 seconds....:bleh: :rofl:
Next round : Some gfx stuff for all u people wanting to check , which tests do u want me to run ? 3D mark or something , make sure u give me the link to download it cause i dont have it with me.......

wth !...is the processor even ALIVE ??? :S .....it used to b a problem in certain old 478 and mobo combos.....however !.........i dont think the 778 sockets matter to have a heatsink on it , it should show display atleast...............i hope ur pal is not given / sold a DEAD processor !
edit : i have a spare original socket 775 with me just incase u would like to check.....u will have to pick it up and get it back as well

nope , i aint selling it , its lying with me cause a pals mobo has gone for RMA and i have the 3ghz p4 and its heatsink ( which is now on my e2160) ...so i have the 'unused' heatsink which came with my E2160.....u can have it for testing ( before the board comes back :rofl: ) ...and secondly , if u can't get the pc to work then there is some other issue ...i.e if u confirmed that the processor is working fine , i suggest u influence him to go and return the processor back to the dealer and buy the e2160 instead.....

Sheesh , dammM bad to hear that , this is a clear indication that the processor was sold to the dealer by some mr.x and then sold to ur friend....now they will buy it back and then it will be sold to some other victim again .....bad !......so now what next wid ur friend ?
hanzy,wish you a happy holi...hmm late:ashamed: .....could you tell about asrock motherboards performance,reliability against other motherboards...coz i saw asrock offers all features for very less money but no one here on TE recommends it...is it due to its availability issue/service issue?
