Help buying LCD TV

hello guys,

im interested in buying and LCD TV within a month.since the viewing distance is just 10 feet i guess i should go for a 32" right?

the TV is mainly for TATA Sky though it should be good enough for Bluray and DVD's but yeah priority is TATA Sky.

ill be using the built in speakers itself so i need a model with good speakers.

will i get Full HD 32" for my budget?

Budget=40K

there are onam offers for BRAVIA here...and these are the following 32"models

KLV-32V400A
KLV-32S550A
KLV-32T400A

This is the Comparison

among them which one do you recommend?

any other suggestions?i dont mind any other brand also.

EDIT-How abt LG JAZZ 32LG80UR its 39k+DV388 DVD player+3months DTH service+Scratch card!!

well for ur viewing distance u should look at 37 or 40inh size tvs.of the tvs u have said the 32S550a is the one to go.FHD 32inch are a waste for ur viewing distance.
 
I just bought the KLV-32W550A [1080p]. Its damn cool as the 550 is their newest series. It hsa Bravia Engine 3, which has much better scaling in videos, which is useful in cases like the dth signals.
But its way above the budget you specified.
KLV-32V550A falls just above your budget and is a great model and got all features and specs of W550, except motion flow which comes into play while watchin slow-mo videos mainly. Its priced at 45k i think.

KLV-32V400A is perfectly in your budget about 36k. But its a 720p panel with Bravia Engine2, but still very feature rich and good performing one.
btw, where is your location? Big discount sales are goin on in Kerala.:D

and how abt the Jazz compared to KLV-32V400A ?

the V400A is a last years product,which is EOL,sold until stocks last.its has a the older BE2 which isn't as good as the BE3 found in KLV-32S550A,so get the S550A.

the sony has a higher contrast ratio then the LG jazz,as far sound quality the jazz is better.
 
I would say go with 32LG80FR - Its Full HD 1080p with 3.1 surround sound.

Club with DVD Player & DTH offer, you have got all stuff :)

You should get around Rs 36500 (Ex Bangalore)

the BE3 main advantage is in upscaling SD content that u get in dvd player or ur DTH etc,so yes DTH will look better due to BE3.
 
ok guys...i went to SAMSUNG,SONY and LG and took the prices for all the 32" they have.
there are only 2 models 1 each from SAMSUNG and LG that supp FullHD for my budget,so im ruling out SONY frm my list.
these are the only FullHD models within my budget.
LG JAZZ 32LG80FR

and

SAMSUNG LA32B530

the JAZZ has 50000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio and 4 ms response time along with a 500W 3.1 channel speaker{50W (10W+10W+30W)} where as the SAMSUNG has Dynamic Contrast Ratio Ultra (60,000:1) and just stereo speakers{10 watts x 2 }

so the SAMSUNG wins only on the 60k DCR,what do you guys recommend?

no way samsung

the lg model has usb port which support divx playback in addtion to jpeg and mp3

samsung doesnt have the divx support

the actual contrast ratio of both will be ~ same

go for the 32LG80FR only

well first of all for ur viewing distance of 10feet u won't notice the difference b/w HD and FHD on a 32inch screen.secondly those contrast ratio figures are bull,the LG won't even cross the 1000:1 ,the samsung should be close to 2000:1 or slightly above.so get the samsung if u want tata sky to look good get the sony S550A its HD ready naturaly SD content will look better compared to FHD tv,coupled with the best upscalers thanks to BE3 ,that is the tv i would pick.
