HELP : Can not open any website in windowsXP :( !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i updated my firefox 2 to firefox2.0.0.1 yesterday and since then could not open any wabsite , any link in Firefox or ie .evrytime it gives cannot conect to server error .. i cant even go to 192.168.1.1 :( but my download at utorrent and all the massenger works perfectly but cant access any website ..currently connected through linux(FC5) and no problem surfing here :S
any help will appreciated ;)
 
any Firewall you have ?

most of the time happens, when you have firewall and install a new internet based software, the firewall alerts for ALLOW/BLOCK. sometime by mistake of habit of hitting ENTER it bolcks the software.....
