Laptops Help: Compaq Cq60-104 or Acer 4730 or Acer 4930

Hello Guys,
Came across this fantastic forum and have gone through most of threads and got so much of info.

I ve been using a desktop all this days and as i am shifting from home decided to go for a lappy.
MY USAGE :
Mainly web surfing, office applications, Downloading MOVIES, MOVIES, MOVIES. (HD ones too)
Occasionally use softwares like Adobe Photoshop, Nokia PC Suite, Video Editing ones etc
I DONT PLAY GAMES AT ALL.

My requirements:
1) A good processor. (AMD or Dual core or C2D) For fast processing
2) RAM/HDD- 2gb/16gb ( no issues with that)
3) Very good screen. ( Clarity matters a lot. Size 15.4/16" , 14" also manageable provided i get a good deal)
4) Good sound output. And compatible with all types of OS
5)Wifi, Bluetooth, Camera, and all others.
6)No issues with weight, size. Battery backup

Budget: Dont have a particular budget. Anything between 30k-35k (Max 40k)
WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF GRAPHICS CARD? IS IT ONLY FOR PLAYING GAMES? WHAT ADVANTAGES OF HAVING GRAPHICS CARD?
I have chosen the following .. Just help me out guys.

1) Compaq Cq 60-104-- Dual Core 2ghz,2gbram,250 gb, 16"WIDESCREEN!:)
Screen size impressed me! How good is Compaq screen compared to Acer?
Prob: They say Win XP cannot be installed:no: ( is it true?)
Price: have to check. roughly comes to 35k. (Digi cam free i guess?)

2) Compaq cq 60-101- Amd athlon 1.9ghz,1gb ram,160gb,16" ( Rs 31.5k)
FOR MY USAGE which one is better AMD or Dual core???

3) Acer 4730- Dual Core 2ghz, 2gbram,160gb hdd, 14".

4)Acer 4530 (most popular i this forum i guess)-Amd, 1gbram, 160gb hdd, 14"

5) Acer 4930- C2D, 2gbram, 160gb, 14"

Mainly for watching movies which is better? Performance wise?
Which has better screen .. Acer or Compaq?

For my purpose, (performance point of view and not cost point of view) which processor should i opt for?

Any other options, please mention. Max i can afford 40k

So how are u finding the Compaq Cq60-104?

What OS have you installed?

How good is the multimedia performance & multi tasking in Cq60-104?
and battery back up how many hours u get? Any heating problems?
 
notebook is fine for home usage
Altec lansing speakers in this model sound,s a bit low
its quite sleek nd Performance is gr8
Acer models were bulky imo but possessed greater durability than these compaqs ... any how i had already spoiled Acer aspire 4520 ( without using drivers mentioned below ) so decided this time to opt for an INTEL .
OS installed : Vista sp1 premium ( by the retailer )
Backup imo ~ 2hrs with sound playback
get a trial of it , then choose urself ....

and if by any chance u get a AMD based notebook don,t forget to install AMD Proc drivers to Enable CoolnQuiet functionality ....
 
me also have the same cq60 -104tu. got it from staples, pune for 34k with a extra backpack, usb kit and a vaccum cleaner free :P

no os.

installed win xp on it. needed to slip stream the ICH9 drivers for that into the win xp cd. You will find many guides on the net for this. audio drivers though are hard to get.

so if you are concerned about win xp compatibility then don't worry. right now using it with vista and ubuntu dual boot and work fine.

built quality i will agree with harmandeep. nice and sleep. plus i wanted the slightly bigger keyboard on this than the acer 4930. graphics is going to be strictly average or below average. so dont go for this is you plan to game much on this.

Most probably i will go for Acer 4930, cos of the better processor. And better sound output(dolby 5.1)
Will have to sacrifice the 16" screen and sleek looks:(
