Security Software [HELP] Computer Virus Issue(s)

Disciple
Okay, so I got a couple issues.

1. I got this dang virus that makes all my folders on my 1TB external HDD, Seagate, go hidden. Which when I try to change the properties, it won't apply.

2. When I click on Google links, it redirects me to the most random pages. It's done it on Opera, Google Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Internet Explorer

3. This is simple, my computer randomly shuts down. I think that one is a RAT, not quite sure.

4. On my brothers computer, he has Windows 7, he goes to right click on the anti-virus softwares that we've always used and nothing appears. It's a blank box.

He got the redirect virus to, from my 1TB external HDD. He plugged it into his computer and he suddenly got it also.

My OS is XP.

And also, on my start up. Apparently my registry file is messed up, I am missing a Java file, and such.
I've dealt with this for a while, but I am getting tired of it.

Did you try to reboot in safe mode?
If not then do that and then try to run the antivirus (which antivirus is it btw?).
If you still can't run the antivirus then use a rescue disc or a boot cd like Kaspersky Rescue Disk, Hiren's Boot cd, etc.

Well, I've run SUPERantiSpyware, Malware Bytes, and VIPRE. And none seem to find this specific virus.
Safe mode won't help. Already tried. I guess I will try again.

Try this if you have not done already. Open command prompt (Start+R and type CMD and hit enter)
1. Type "cd\" and hit enter
2. Type your external drive's letter, e.g., "E:" and hit enter.
3. Type "dir /a /w" hit enter (displays all file names)
4. See if you have a file called "autorun.ini" and/or "autorun.INF"
5. Type "notepad autorun.ini" (or autorun.inf) and hit enter. (notepad opens with details. Read and you'll know if that file is native HD info file, usually not more than 1 line. If not, copy the content and paste it here.

(all the commands to be typed without quotes.. I'm giving very basic guide here since I don't know your skill level.)

My skill level is somewhat high, just not with viruses xD
And there is no autorun. Let me check my other partition
Nope, neither of them has the autorun....

can you post a hijackthis log

If you want one...here ya go xD

yeah, I may have a rootkit.
But even if I remove it, how can I make sure it's no longer on my external hard drive?

I use it with other computers and I HAVE to be sure it's not transferring this rootkit.

USB drives are not a known vector for ZeroAccess.
I'd advise you to work through the Read and Run Me, below.
READ & RUN ME FIRST Malware Removal Guide (incl. spyware, virus, trojan, hijacker) - MajorGeeks Support Forums

Be patient as they are busy. Don't bump your post, as that will take you back to the end of the queue.

You should get a response in 24-48hrs.

use cccleaner to clean up your system startup. there's so many missing files and who knows what in there. looks like all the programs in the world have been put at loading time in there.
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [Klxaxk] C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Application Data\Klxaxk.exe
what's this? and why is it in startup?

Also what is this? did you or someone download this? looks suspect to me.
ShareCashV3.2.exe

O15 - Trusted Zone: *.qword.com
is this in internet explorers trusted zone settings?

you have too many toolbars installed. remove them. toolbars are not required in the first place.

If you want one...here ya go xD

There are way to many services being launched at startup.

Apple and HP are known to add a lot of bloatware which may hamper other system functions. Remove part of it which you may not need.

^ :hail: you took the time to research that huge list :O

i did some research too. some files which are not suspect are (according to my google search)
ehRecvr.exe - required by some programs for authentication or updates
McciCMService - something to do with microsoft's windows media player
mcrdsvc.exe - same as above
C:\WINDOWS\vVX3000.exe - comes with microsoft lifecam. not required in startup.
C:\WINDOWS\mHotkey.exe - used for configuring media keys on Chicony keyboards.
C:\WINDOWS\CNYHKey.exe - chicony keyboard hotkeys.

Gentlemen, with all due respects...
ZeroAccess cannot be cleaned using a generic scanner like HJT. PERIOD. It's an infection that started out as a Rootkit and/or a MBR infection.
Current strains are not a TDSS but still can infect the MBR. HJT does not have the capability to cleanse.
While RougeKiller is used extensively to clean the infection. One needs to double check with aswMBR & MBRcheck, logs. The MBR will often require a Windows CD to boot to recovery console> CMD to fix.
This was the only reason I directed the OP to a forum of trained Malware fighters. Where the admin is a MSVP in security.
While I could have helped out and fixed the issues, I think it would be a dis-service to both the OP and TE not to get help from qualified malware fighters.

With such level of infection / attack, clean re installation of OS will be of time saving and effective process. Backup important data.
