A friend's old PC that has been given away to office help has developed some problem and the onboard audio device is non-functional.
Need a USB audio card/device for as low price as possible.
(Similar to Xonar U3, Steelseries Siberia, Syba/Startech on newegg, ... )

What are my options locally? Please share some links.

These look cheap but not sure how to get it.

eBay sellers have such devices in plenty. Had bought one a year ago to rectify a similar problem with a friend's dad's PC and it works well for its worth.

EDIT : These are even cheaper!

Thanks @Oyster
I am getting the AudioQuest Dragonfly for primary (and portable) use and a Xonar Essence STU later for the htpc. :)

Got this picked up by a friend for 120 bucks from Lamington Road.
System volume control has no effect on this and could only control volume via the media player volume control slider. :P
