Hi Guys!
I'm going to buy a new CPU this month (December). My requirements are moderate gaming other than the usual home needs. My budget is around 25K grey market. Could you guys suggest me what I should buy?

I currently have a Samsung SyncMaster 2033sw, Creative Speakers, Keyboard, Mouse, etc.

I was looking at the following components for the CPU
1) Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93 Ghz
2) Intel Mobo DP45SG
3) Kingston 4GB RAM DDR3

Could someone please help me with these and/or suggest better components?
I also require DVD Writer, Cabinet, and Graphic Card
Graphic Card can be of 4.5K max and total budget is around 25K.

I need to be clear about what I need to buy so I can convince dad to buy it!

Firstly this thread should be moved to PC peripherals.

Secondly follow the format posted by Renegade

+1 For this, AM3 is the way to go.

8.PSU-mostly 460W

5. Q: Is this going to be your final configuration or you would be adding/upgrading a component in near future. If yes then please mention when and which component

have a luk at my siggy

IMO AMD processors offer more bang for buck, at least till the 50k segment..beyond that it's i5 and i7..

Athlon II X2 240 2.8GHz @ 2.8k

Biostar A785GE @ 3.4k

4GB DDR2 800MHz Transcend/Kingston @ 4k

Zebronics Krish @ 1k

Logitech Multimedia Keyboard/Mouse Combo @ 0.8k

Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB @ 2.4k

LG 22x DVD @ 1.1k

Gigabyte 80 Plus Active PFC 460W @ 2.2k

Sapphire HD4850 512MB GDDR3 @ 6.9k

TOTAL = Rs. 24,600

Stick to E7500 or get phenom II X2 550 BE, athlon II X2 240 is not sufficient for gaming imho. Better is to save money now by getting 2 gb of ram and another 2 gb later. Also, 512 MB of Video memory is not sufficient for Gta iv. Get 1 gb version of video card.

AMD Phenom II X2 550 - 5.2k or Athlon II X4 620 - 5.3k
MSI 785GM-E51 -4.6k
2GB DDR3 1333MHz Transcend/Kingston @ 2.6k
Zebronics Bijili @ 1.1k
Logitech Multimedia Keyboard/Mouse Combo @ 0.7k
Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 500GB @ 2.4k
LG 22x DVD @ 1.1k
Gigabyte 80 Plus Active PFC 460W @ 2.2k
Sapphire HD4670 1GB GDDR3 @ 4.6k
This will cost you ~25k. For GTAIV you need more VRAM so it is better to go for 1GB card. Plus you get a DDRIII RAM, DDRIII Mobo and even a quad core. As you wont be upgrading for 2-3 years DDRIII is the way to go.
