PC Peripherals Help!! Gotta buy new PC, budget 50K

Its like this, the main point of buying an opty is to OC it to higher speeds. At stock the 3500+ due to its higher clock speed will definitely beat the Opty 144.

At stock the 3200+ will beat the 144(2 Ghz vs 1.8) and the 3500 will beat the 146(2.2 vs 2). Difference is the opty's have 1 MB L2 cache, tho it dosent make too much of a diff in most apps.

Now i am really confused- doesn't the extra 512kb cache of the Opties translate to around +200Mhz in performance, even at stock??:S

If that is so, then 3200=144 and 3500=146!!

And then if you wanna OC, the Opty is better at it!!:P
Also heard that Opty SC cooler than A64!!
And i thought thats why Opty over A64!!

Someone please help me out here!!:ashamed:

No, it dosent translate directly to a 200 mhz increase. And come one bikey surely after reading karan's posts on this, u cant say that the opty is cooler than A64 or neccesarily OC's better than A64. But coming back to the cache, it all depends on the apps. here check out this link. http://www23.tomshardware.com/cpu.html?modelx=33&model1=206&model2=218&chart=67 For comparison, select a 3500+ and compare it to a 3700+, select ur app and u get the results.

Well, Almost EVERYONE, who i have seen with BIG Cards has got em replaced with XFX/Leadtek, coz of Low Performance.
It may as well be stupidity with Drivers on their Part, but happening to >3 People. I dunno.
But we do know that the Low end chips do go to BIG.

They dont have opty's in that list, thats why i told u to check 3500+ vs 3700+, both run at 2.2 Ghz but the 3500+ has 512k L2 cache and 3700+ has 1 MB L2 cache. From those results u can figure out how the 3000+ will fare against 144 and 3200+ against 146. The 2.4 Ghz 3700 is for socket 754.
 
I don't know but here in Bombay no one ready to give me AMD PC.

Each and every one 100% offered Intel. Even distributors too.

And here all you are fan of AMD.

What a problem is yaar, I am gonna mad
 
^^What do u mean not ready to give :S. Go to lamington and just buy off the parts. Simple! No one can stop u from getting AMD.
