My ebay.com is giving weird errors when trying to bid on a couple of books i want there
Can someone else with a paypal+ebay account bid and buy it for me pleaseeeee?

Ofcourse ill give you the money before you pay...
PM ME! 1 day left for the auction and cant depend on customer service as they take too long!
 
sigh, customer care said i need to have more than a certain rating on ebay.in to be able to use ebay.com

normal price of the new spring autographed set was atleast 80-100$ and will be lots more if jordan does die X(
 
WTF? Even i wanted something off ebay US, are you saying we cant buy anything if we have 0 rating on EBay IN?
 
it took me 4 days to get that info from customer care and they still have not given me a concrete number of +ve ratings one would require to be able to bid on ebay.com

Well, you can't bid on ebay.com primarily because your registered country is India and you will show up to US sellers as a foreign buyer... this is an issue because 99% sellers only ship items to confirmed addresses (ie, verified member with a US confirmed address). This has nothing to do with zero feedback... sellers need to decide whether they want to sell to 0 feedback buyers. However, recently eBay has gone on a spree of making buyers and sellers accounts unusable citing non-performance (which could mean 0 feedback for buyers and/or no successful sales for sellers).

I get around these issues since I registered while in the US in '02 so I've retained a US address... PayPal is registered to me in India, but there's a workaround for that.
 
well, i have a +1 rating :P and a verified paypal accnt and the seller enabled international shipping when i asked him to
 
To eBay that could mean non-performance... I know many powersellers and buyers with better ratings than I who can't bid or sell anything. My account was restricted for months too, and finally got reinstated end of July after working with eBay's trust & safety team over 10+ emails. eBay makes the rules, fair or not.
