hey ppl,
I have about 2-2.5k to spare and I intend to spend the whole amount on cooling my CPU.

My options are as follows,
1.CM 212+ and Delta fan for a push-pull setup.
2.CM 212+ and Arctic Cooling MX-2(or any other high performance TIM).
3.Any other ideas(open to buying other heatsinks too).

My objective is getting the best cooling performance for my 2.5k...money is really hard to come by in college:P.
I'm pretty much a noob at overclocking but hoping this purchase will change that. Please pour in your suggestions quickly guys. Will need to buy it on Sunday.

Other possibly relevant information:-
Have three CM 120mm fans cooling my cabinet two C4s and one crappy fan(came with the cabby).

Open to second hand purchases? You could prolly get something like a used TRUE in about 2,000. Can't beat that.

If you do get the Hyper 212+, its not such a bad idea to use it with the fan it comes with.

nope,I'd rather not try second hand right now...Are you saying a delta fan wont improve the performance in a push-pull setup with the CM fan?

IMO, a Push pull setup on a already 77CFM cooler with just 4 heat pipes wont be very profitable. Moreover, a delta fan would be quite noisy.

A Hyper + MX2 setup makes more sense.

Not by a whole lot. At what speeds do you plan on running your processor anyway?

Thanks for that...So you think the MX-2 makes more sense.Alright I'll wait for more suggestions before I finalise.I'm willing to risk the noise btw...
