Hello,

Folks i need some help and suggestion regarding my cabinet purchase. I am in a dilemma whether to get a brand new CM elite 430 or to go for slightly used NZXT Lexa S (love the looks)?

I am getting both of them at the same price. my budget is strictly below 3k.

I will be using i7 870, a 92mm cpu cooler.

is NZXT Lexa S better than NZXT Guardian 921 rb??

kindly help me out guys.

i liked the cable management feature of the Lexa S along with the 5 fans as mentioned by CA50 and especially its killer looks. but i read somewhere that the front panel is vulnerable to finger prints and tends to loose its charm. is it true? does anybody currently own one?

^mate the reviews differs, i read somewhere that the cable management on that cabby is not good :S. And regarding that front panal vulnerable to finger prints, i will just suggest you handle that with care. And before getting the one, better check the current cosmetic condition as well ;)

^but mate the NZXT Lexa S comes with 5 fans 2x140mm(top) and 3x120mm (side+front+rear) it can beat the CM elite as per the OC reviews, and the look is too cool with factory transparency. One drawback might be that it fails to checks the chipsets temps

Yeah I meant that OP should go for the NZXT Lexa S albiet it should be in a decent condition, otherwise the NZXT Gamma is the choice, the Cooler Master eLite series is no-where as good as the NZXT Gamma, infact the eLite 430 has issues with certain ATX motherboard layouts as it has a cramped top corner.

Rest support the OP for getting either of the NZXT cabinets.

With respect to this issue, it is because the Lexa has a piano finish for front bezel that is why, piano finish might look good in the short term but is a dust and finger-print magnet in the long run.

you should increase your budget and atleast go for NZXT evo if you are using i7.
No need for an EVO minimum, I've a friend running a

Core i7 930

GIGABYTE X58A-UD3R

ZOTAC GTX 460 768 MB

on a TAGAN Silent Pipe 600W,

all in a NZXT Gamma very comfortably. The air flow just needs a few extra fans.
