I need help for new desktop. I'm looking for a CPU that would that would come under 17-18k, excluding monitor, mouse, speakers as i already have these. My requirements are 500 HDD, 3 Gb ram and a gfx. Which would be able to run upcomming game Diablo 3.

Sir you'd have to stretch a budget little if you want all the components.

Intel G620 ~3500/-

Intel DH61WW ~3500/-

Corsair XMS3 OR G.Skill RIPJAWS 2GB x 2 1600MHz modules ~1700/-

Segate 500gb-4000/- OR get 2nd hand from te market for less price.

AMD HD 6770 ~6500/-

Corsair CX430W ~2100/-

NZXT Gamma ~2500/-

Okay i will follow next time but the specs you mention is going above 17k.

Even if we suggest i3+H61+500gb HDD+HD6770+psu+case price goes way over budget about 26k so that's why i suggested the cheapest rig.

OP's aim is to play Diablo, no point buying a G620 OR G840 and then not being able to play the game itself.

Recomended for the D III beta :

from here : http://eu.battle.net...em-requirements

So i think a G620 should be able to handle it okish.

Still a Core i3 will not hurt his chances if he is willing to sink in some more budget, for a decently powerful gaming RIG.

Agreed, but IMO, rather than going for the NZXT, he should opt for a cheaper case if available. Let him sink that cash for the i3 first.

#vivek.krishnan, that is in his hands now, but budget cases that might cut it for a entry-level gaming PC he is building need decent ventilation, so will recommend the following --

NZXT Source Elite 210 ~2200/- OR

Cooler Master eLite 370 / 390 ~1900/-.

What say you?

As OP had a tight budget how about using a Bijli 1 cabinet & then after saving some cash upgrade its front 120mm & side 2 X 80mm fans with higher RPM Cooler Master fans. It should keep the components pretty cool.

It will help #urban_nomad as he will have to anyways buy more fans if he goes for any other cabinet.

Zebronics products do not have any cable routing options so will not recommend this. It will make the case worse, lets wait for what OP says when he sees the configurations we have suggested him.

How is amd 2.8 ghz am3 phenom II 1055t processor as i3 is like 5-6k and this one is 7k.

AMD Phenom IIx6 1055T is a hex-core processor that you will not fully utilize while playing a games.

The Intel Core i3 2100 is a dual core hyper-threaded processor [2 physical cores and the system detects 2 virtual cores -- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyper-threading / http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/hyperthreading-technology-explained/], that is more effective for the express purpose of day to day computing.

For a head to head between these two solutions --> http://www.anandtech.com/bench/Product/147?vs=289.

Compare, gaming results, power consumption and single threaded performance and you'll see that the Core i3 comes out tops, but in multi-threaded situation the AMD's hex-core design shows its prowess.

And this is the reason why I asked you to fill up the template.

slightly over your budget but worth it

I woul suggest slight changes to this RIG --

AMD HD 5770 [better than the HD6750 in performance + slightly cheaper] ~5500/- OR lesser.

Seasonic S12II 430W SMPS ain't that cheap, OP can get a Corsair CX V2 430W ~2400/- in its stead.

Hope this helps, Cheers!!
