Help me buy 1.5 ton 3 star Ac

Thanks making my decision to with Daikin 1.5ton 3 star 2024 model, if anything pr amypoint needs to be taken care let me know guys
Bought a Daikin 5 star model last year and a 3 star this year
Included in the box - 3m copper pipes, 3.7m 4core cable from odu to idu, remote(no batteries), no manual have to scan qr code on idu to download pdf
Things to buy -
3 core 2.5sqmm cable to connect from odu to power supply (length depending on your req) 85/- per m
drain pipe 50/- 2m
16A ac plug 60/-
Odu bracket stand 350-450/-
If you buy from technician then expect everything at double the price

Last year bought 5 star model from flipkart with installation mentioned as 1750, so i paid nothing more than that.
3 star model bought from amazon had installation offer 699+GST, the technician was arguing that it is 1500+GST but I had to show amazon page and he called his office to confirm, so I finally paid 1100 as he had to remove old stand and install again to support the new odu(250/- extra for that)

Performance and energy efficiency is really good, but the installation experience has been bad both times. They make big hole in the wall and don't cover it with white cement, do not vacuum(saying not required as they are new)

I had noise issues in both ac, 5star model odu made vibrating noise while running between 70-80%(can check on idu display), on complaining technician(very inexperienced) did tighten/loosen the screws of odu and inserted piece of folded paper, noise reduced on the outside but wall inside still makes noise, so I try to run in econo mode which restricts the compressor to 50% capacity.

3 star model also had vibrating and rattling noise since the second day, and guess what they sent same technician who knows nothing but tightening screws, I called the owner of the authorised service centre and asked him to send his best technician to solve this issue, he sent the senior most guy who opened the odu and said that one of the copper pipes inside were touching the body and making the noise, he was able to fix and said this happens during transportation.

I thought of buying LG but they reduced 1.5 ton 3 star cooling capacity to 4400W which is not sufficient.

Thanks for sharing your experience, only due to cooling capacity i am opting for 4400W
I will pre order or buy everything that is needed extra

Have 3 acs in my house all from different brands- lloyd, daikin and O general.

Lloyd-If you want smth very affordable and decent cooling.
Daikin- Better cooling and slightly more expensive.
O General- This one is like the Titan of acs imo.

you should have forced them for vacuum now the air from the copper pipe is mixed with gas and cooling is affected. it's done now you have to live with it but I strongly request you to complain to the amazon and daikin so future owner don't have to face it

I did tweet and complain about their installation, but let it be as to vacuum again after installation I read you have to remove gas. I never had vacuum done on any of my previous ac's(lg & lloyds) and their cooling is still good

yes that is the problem you can not vacuum now without changing gas. suppose your ac is installed without vacuum now it has 90% gas 10% air if it was vacuumed it would be 100% gas. I explained this for people buying new AC

So I need to tell the technician (so called) imo, to vaccum before installation and any other point that i need to take care before installation?

I have seen some brand provide white cement packet with them too, Daikin is too crazy doesnot provide anything.

I want good ac with better cooling and energy efficient and with better price(little cheap may be around 30-35K in between) which one do you suggest?
As my usage will be only in summer and maximum 8-10 hours( that too mostly in the night time)

Mmm I see, I think you can check out LG as well. I was recommended LG by a few of my friends but I'm not familier with their pricing so you can add that to the list as well. Lloyd has been solid for its price I must say! So either Lloyd/LG/Daikin depending on the features you're into, go and check those out instore. Will also help you see if there's any discounts you can avail on any specific models..

how is bluestar anyone ? also how is bluestar in comparison to panasonic ?
BlueStar uses cheap material even in their top-tier range. They boast of Indigenous R&D but their models look like generic Chinese imports. They outsource installation and service, which equates to 3rd class experience. They blatantly lie on their brochures and website about some features.

If you want to buy a BlueStar then look for some older model that's still being manufactured. They introduce several 'experimental' models and discontinue them abruptly.

I'd suggest you to take a look at various models personally in a store. Take a magnet with you and check the mounting screws, esp the screws that hold the coils. Plain steel screws will corrode very fast and destroy the coil fins too. Looks like it's part of planned obsolescence.

Panasonic used to have some niche features when I was looking for one few years back. These features should now be available with other brands as well. Panasonic models look well manufactured. I haven't used them though.

Looking at life and service record of various appliances in my house, I'd lean towards LG with my eyes closed.
