I have been using a gigabyte gm6800 since my razer salmosa went kaput. I am looking for a good gaming mouse and I would prefer something within Rs.2500.
The two gaming mice I am looking at are - the death adder and the lachesis.
Do please list some other mice within Rs.2500(inclusive of shipping)
which mouse should i go for? I play only FPS titles and work extensively with image editing tools.

^^

Bruv why don't you check out the Razer Abyssuss as well as Steel Series Ikari (optical OR laser is your choice).

Don't know for sure what is online pricing of the Ikari(s) but in Bangalore they retail ~ 2.3K (Golccha Computers, S.P. Road).
Okay dug-up something but its overpriced  I'll double check with my friend who owns one. Optical Mouse - Buy Gaming SteelSeries Ikari Optical Mouse Online at Cafegadgets
SteelSeries India.

Hope this helps bruv.

Three mouse which are worth a look are:-

Razer DeathAdder @2.1k - High accuracy and supports excellent customization software. The design, great performance at both low & high sensitivity, weight and build quality are excellent. The only downside is no Vista driver support(heck, no one uses Vista anymore).

SteelSeries Ikari @2.1k - Typically suited for FPS gaming. Good performance at any sensitivity. The overall feel, construction and features are great. Though many user report a scroll-wheel bug.

SteelSeries Kinzu @1.7k - Great looking, Low weight. Major drawback is no side buttons.

Personally, I would suggest you to pick up any between DeathAdder and Ikari. DeathAdder perhaps.

I would advice you to buy Razer Death Adder... its a great mouse... great mouse for gaming aswell as for image editing stuff as it has high precision... i am looking to buy one too... but i would buy it after some days :)

Been using the DA 3.5G for sometime now and I'd suggest you to take a look at it. Gave up on the MS IE 3.0 and Logitech MX518 since the grips started wearing out pretty quickly.

I would advise you to try DA and Ikari Optical and choose the one which fits your hand best. Both are great mouse.

Woops! I picked up the prices from l33t's mouse guide. My bad, should have checked current prices.. :ashamed: Have used all the three mouse. Anyways, post fixed. Thanks.

Yes, as Gannu said, the MS IE 3.0 and Logitech MX518 grips start to wear out quickly. So big no on that.

--- Updated Post - Automerged ---

Saw it at lynx sometimes back though but want to know if I can get a better deal ;)

Had a mx518, rather two ! First one started malfunctioning n another 1 which I bought later wore off quickly on the grip n also had a different feet than the first one so didn't like it much, eventually lost it ! Don't know about the latest mx but I don't prefer it much.

Anything in category of 2.5 k ? :P

^^

Best bet for you is Razer Death Adder ~ 2.5K OR Logitech MX 518 as you need customisable buttons for RPG and MMORPG titles as you mentioned. I say you save up and then go for the Logitech G 500 ~ 3.5K.

Didnt know DA had customizable button too ! WIll surely check it out then. Do we get indian warranty on DA readily or is it cumbersome as it was about 3 yrs back ?
