Help needed for rooting I7500

Hi,

Just got hold of an old I7500 device on 1.5 cup cake. Since I am new on android would like a step by step guide to upgrade the I7500 to froyo.

If someone could give me a step by step guide, would be grateful. Thanks in advance.

thanks for the link @trigger - But i have the older version of galaxy I7500 and the link is for I9000.

the i7500 is the first samsung android. It officially supports only up to 1.6, and the 2.1 Roms for it are still in alpha, and it never was really popular. there is a video of it running 2.2, but details arent available

Wanted to try a hands on so that i could get more comfortable with loading and using a custom rom. Didnt wanna be dependent on samsung for any upgrades before i get the galaxy S2

Updated the I7500 to Froyo thanks to drakaz .... working smoothly as of now....
