Help needed in repairing Creative Inspire 4.1 4400 speakers

Help needed in repairing Creative Inspire 4.1 4400 speakers.

Service center says on-board chip is outdated, so it will be expensive to repair.

I would like to get the speakers repaired.

Anyone know those who can repair these speakers ?

I will not mind even if a different circuit board than Creative's is used.

Location: Mumbai.

have you tried a locally, where electronic items are repaired ?

the local guy repair tv, dvd player, etc. in my area declined.

thought someone here will be aware of those people who mod speakers etc. who can be helpful...

in fact, I just wanted all the 5 speakers working at least in stereo, thats all. Even if the internal board is not Creative, I won't mind.

what is the problem with speakers ? are you sure its chip problem or power supply problem

got this resolved from local electronics repairwala. serviced and replaced few capacitors or so, he says.
