So i finally managed to get my hands on some stuff to give myself so called HT pleasure...

This is what i have.

A PC with loads of movies and a X1900XT card on it with VIVO functionality

A 17" LCd Monitor for the PC

A 26" LCD TV(More details below)

A Cheap Chinese DVD Player(As suggested by others for the time being)

A Logitech Z 5300 5.1 Speaker System

A Tata Sky DTH connection

Adding soon

PS3 or 360

Now my TV has following Ports

1 DVI Port

1 VGA port

2 S-Video ports

2 Video ports

1 YPbPr port

1 Headphones out Jack

I am using the headphones out from the TV which goes to the line in jack of the PC and of course my speaker system is connected to my PC

Now the questions!

What’s the best way of connecting the whole setup together?

( I am basically confused about connecting the DVD player and the PC to the LCD TV. As of now I am using the S-Video port of the LCD to connect to the PC and YPbPr port of the LCD to connect to the DVD player. The DVD player supports progressive scan. My LCD TV manual says that it supports a max res of 13xx by 768)

Also what’s would be the best way to connect the Console to the LCD display?

Okey... I guess i asked a little too much... Just answer this... What is better...

DVI vs VGA vs YPbPr vs S-Video vs Video :P...

DVI is the best of all.
YPbPr <-- i dono whats that. if that is HDTV input, then that is the best thing.
S-video & Video both r same

The PC is best connected thru DVI. The xbox is best connected over component. If you get the xbox then dump the dvd player as its useless then.
