Linux Help Needed-Snapshot Horror

Hi Friends

I made a mistake of enabling Snapshot function from Mandriva Control Center for backing up my system. Now my Home partition all but full of back ups within 6 hours. I need your help on deleting the huge backup files created by snapshot(tried shift+del for no use) and more importantly how do i stop it from doing this again(like unistalling this feature).

I am using Mandriva One 2009 Spring Edition with KDE 4.2.4

^^^Tried uninstalling Draksnapshot as root(and it did disabled it from running)besides unchecking the option in MCC but still the back up files created were shift+delete proof .

I had to use a remove command(got it from mandriva forum) to delete those undeletable files(in turn it killed my home partition as a whole requiring me to reinstall the OS again)

Now i am facing a new problem due to nvidia driver(getting just a black screen at the time of login)this issue has forced me to use xorg drivers(currently using xorg nv)
