ok i formatted my lappie and my pen drive SONY one by mistake and forgot to take backup. i have lost around 950 pics and some office data. i really need to recover them. i did try R-studio but nothing. how how how please tell me how do get it all back. i have no backup of them anywhere. the backup dvd i had also does not work. please help me people. i am downloading some softwares side by side also. thanks a lot in advance. if u can please sms me the software names would be nice since my internet at home has been chopped off. my no is

uh no one has faced this ever. i not only need to recover from pendrive but also a hard disk and a dvdrw too. please help
 
use the PC Inspector File Recovery.

I used it once and were able to get back some of my deleted files from my pendrive....I don't think u can recover them 100% but atleast u can get some of them..
 
First things first, do NOT write to either the hard disk or the pen drive.

For the hard disk I recommend GetDataBack, has always worked impressively for me. Recovery results will be a little cryptic, but if you know your data you will know what you're looking for.

For the DVD disks , BadCopy Pro is supposed to be good.

USB drive i'm not too sure, have only tried PhotoRescue for retrieving images from flash memory.
 
i had the formatted my lappie drive can i still recover from there. what software works well. if yes then i dont care about the pendrive data since it was the same thre too..
 
GetDataBack and TestDisk work on formatted drives. but u cant install them tothe same drive which u formatted!
 
i hope u have not installed or copied anything on the laptop drive yet...if yes then thr is little hope...but if it still in the same formatted condition with no files written after that then thr is a good chance u can recover some/most of the data...will post the links to some softwares ppl have found useful for the same in a few minutes (need sometime to compile it)...till then do not write anything on the drives...also im guessing tht only one partition has been formatted and the other partitions including the operating system is intact...will be back in a few minutes with more info...
 
There are two ways to work on your laptop drive :

1. Remove the laptop drive from the laptop (It shouldn't void the warranty). Buy an external laptop 2.5" drive casing - the generic brands like Zippys sell for around 200/- and should be more than enough. Plug it into your desktop PC, and then run GetDataBack to retrieve data from it. It should work.

P.s: You should try making an "image" of the laptop drive through GetDataBack and copying it to your hard disk. Working on the image on your hard disk should be easier/faster than on the laptop drive through USB.

2. Create a BartPE disk with GetDataBack as one of the plugins using these instructions : Data Recovery Software - File System Utilities . Simply boot up from your laptop with the BartPE disk in it, and then run GetDataBack . This may be a little complicated since you would anyway have to get the recovered data copied somewhere else.
