Impossible within 20k !!!!

Its the Cheapest solution I can Find for you !!!! Now you decide !

1.AMD Athlon X2 4000+ @ 2.1 Ghz = Rs 3.1k

2.Asus M2NBP-VM CSM Mobo : Rs 4.3k
- Support AMD® Socket AM2
- AMD Live!â„¢ Ready
- NVIDIA Quadro® NVS 210S+NVIDIA nForce®
430B

- Dual-channel DDR2 800/667/533 support ECC
and non-ECC,un-buffered memory
- PCI Express architecture
- Dual VGA Ouput: DVI-D & RGB
-4 RAM slots

3. 1GB *2 DDR2 RAM @667 Mhz -Rs 3500 (Corsair/Transcend/Kingston wil do)

4. Sata2 250GB *2 HDD in Raid = Rs 5.5K

5. DVD Writer : 1.3K (Sony /LiteOn/Asus OEM)

6.Cabby With 500W VIP PSU : Around 2K

7.Microsoft/Logitech Wired Combo =Rs 700

8.Monitor depends upon ur choice
So the Core Sytem comes within 20K.Plus the cost of monitor (I guess you need 19"or bigger,Optional Firewire card...so allocate around 10k for that )

The onboard Quadro Gfx wil do to some extent but you will have to upgrade to Dedicated one.Forget Quadro series completely ,the cost of one will make a big whole in your pocket.

Try To get 2more hdd and run it in sata raid O for optimun performance

So basically what turns up is you will nedd around 50K to build a decent rig that will run those softwares flawlessly !!!!!

At 20K you may get a vista ready one...but not more than that !

thank u so much SPITFIRE, it was gr8 reply n sry 4 late reply, newayz......

avid users insist on using intel, hence i hav decided to go for C2D E6550 or E6750, can any1 plz help me choosing corresponding mobo with integrated gfx like Asus M2NBP-VM CSM Mobo which has NVIDIA Quadro® NVS 210+NVIDIA nForce® 430B

and also:

what is OEM in DVD Writer : 1.3K (Sony /LiteOn/Asus OEM)
how wud i know its OEM?

how wud i know tht HDD is in RAID

thx........

buddy the e6750 in itself costs close to 8 grand, then how do u expect to build a whole rig for 20 k? buddy u either gotta compro on specs or on the price, u cant have your cake and eat it to u know.!! :eek:hyeah::bleh:

OEM stands for Original Equipment Manufacturer. OEM optical drives are packaged in just the anti-static pouch. they dont come box packed. they are generally cheaper than the box packed versions too.

RAID is a configuration in which u can run multiple HDD's to optimize performance or to achieve data redundancy. It depends upon whether u set it up for RAID or not.. RAID does not come pre-configured.

Your budget as such is too low for now.. i would suggest that if u aint in too much of a hurry, then u would be better of building your system piecemeal.. or in steps.. for eg... you could buy just 1gig of RAM now nd also go with some onboard graphics and delay the purchase of more RAM and the gfx cards for later. dont know too much abt AVID per se.. but it is an acknowledged fact that AMD FireGL cards and nVidia Quadros' are the best there is for professional level graphics work. They are also EXTREMELY expensive.

ATX, microATX and BTX are various form factors for motherboards. what this means is that, these are the standard specifications for motherboards as far as dimensions are concerned.(atleast i guess so.. someone correct me if im wrong on this). ATX is the biggest of these and would be recommended more often than not. this is because of the simple fact that not only will your motherboard be less cramped, it will also have more upgradability options should u want to add something in the future.

u got me sTALKEr........i hav added 2-3k in my budget...n will go for 1GB RAM....n onboard gfx.....will buy Quadro later......

so plz suggest me the best mobo at arnd 5-6k wid onboard gfx for C2D E6750....

i liked tht Asus M2NBP-VM CSM Mobo......could any1 plz suggest me similar mobo for C2D E6750....

well.......i said TE is best coz....i posted same ques on other forums......n got my best ans here on TE.....TE rox !!

Check this config (considering ur budget to be 23K)

Intel E4400 - 5k

Mobo XFX 650i Ultra - 5.2K

GFX - XFX 8600GT 256MB - 6.6K

RAM : 1GB Transcend 667 MHz - 1.6K

HDD : 160 GB Western Digital/Hitachi - 2.2K

VIP PSU+Cabinet - 3K

Total - 23,500

Am just not able to accommodate a E6750. And u would then also require keyboard, mouse, DVD drive, internal modem, more ram, speakers etc.

Just being realistic. :)

greenhorn, i guess its for AMD, 1st pt says:

1. AMD Athlonâ„¢64 X2/ Athlonâ„¢64 socket AM2 platform

???

hunter, thx 4 ur help, but i dont wanna compromise on proccesor, mobo and cabinet, i mean, i will buy those which hav nice upgradibility, hence i hav decided foll:

C2D E6750 = 8.5k
1 GB RAM 667 Mhz = 1750
250 GB HDD SATA2 = 2750
DVD Writer = 1.3k
Cabby 500W VIP PSU = 2k

TOTAL: 16.3k

Rest, in 5-6k, i want gud mobo like above Asus M2NBP-VM CSM Mobo, which has onboard gfx, nVidia Quadro if possible, which can support NVIDIA QuadroFX PCI Express graphic card in future whn i buy one.

or atleast recommend me the any other best mobo wid gud onboard gfx, if onboard quadro is nt possible........thx

For C2D processor u can get any G33/35 chipset arnd 6k with onboard gpu,and they support upcoming Intel proccy!!

Suggestion:-i dont think just tht proccy-C2D E6750 will do any miracle, better get urself 4400 or 6550 which is really gud more then enuf, and get XFX 650i mobo (5.2k) with any external GPU like 8500GS/GT-(3-4k) and they r much better then any intel onboard!!

dude,,

he needs an intel supporting mobo wid onboard quadro... this aint gonna happen coz there are no boards with onboard quadros for intel proccy's. your

@mihir your best choice would be to stick wid the e4400.. get a half decent mobo nd a gfx card... nd then u can always upgrade ur proccy later on wen u have some more cash :)

Dude...dont overemphasize on that onboard quadro.... after a lil googling i found that its just a 6200 with higher clock settings..

buy an e4400 ,club it with any decent 965 mobo anf get urself a 8400GS... I think that would suffice all ur need

the kind of budget you have ,a 6xxx procy would sure be an overkill and will force you to compromise on other important components such as RAM,MOBO,PSU...

---------------------------------

By the way I dont see any harm if you go for AMD right now.... As far as price to performance ratio AMD is not far behind than any e series CPU....... where c2d shine is in the overclocking arena....its far better than AMD in this regard.

But see with your budget all you gonna get is entry level mobo and RAM and they wont let you overclock to that extent..

So I think its much better to spend 5k for AMD X2 4800/5000 rather than an e4400

e4400(4.5k)+XFX 650i(5.2k)+8600GT 256MB(6.5k)=16.2k should get u a decent enough system for the time being.

Or as spitfire said, you can have AMD x2 4800+/5000 with some cheap board with onboard gfx ( like jetway m2a69g) for arnd 8k+ gfx card 8600GT 6.5k = 14.5k

add 1GB RAM - 1.9k

HDD-250GB- 2.7k

Cabinet+PSU - 2.5k

keyb+mouse - .8k

Tot:- 22.4k
