Help : Ordering Xiaomi Mi box 3s from AliExpress

Hi guys , I want to buy the Xiaomi Mi box 3s. Unfortunately it's not available in India.i saw it in AliExpress . But I never bought any item from AE before . I want to know

1.Is it safe to buy from AE. Is there fraud sellers in AE also?

2.Can I buy using Indian debit cards/paytm/any other wallet?

3.How much time will it take to get the product delivered after making payment ?

4.will there be customs duty for the item I am ordering ? If so how much if it's cost is say 5k
 
1. Yes, as long as you buy from a good dealer. Its similar to ebay.
2. Credit cards yes. Nothing else AFAIK.
3. Depends. Usually 2 weeks
4. Depends. Cant say. It should be say 1K?

Pros:
mic in bluetooth remote is awesome!
kodi/vlc/etc
Great looking.
Plays everything (except some 10bit 1080p on kodi) , due to some software bug...
FARRR more stable than random android boxes.

Cons:
Cant root this yet. no writing on usb :(
Not full play store
A lot of apps can be sideloaded though - chrome etc.
Device is good, but it could be like 10x raspberry pi awesomeness awesome *if* it wasn't so locked down.

May I know how many days it took to reach you please ?
 
If you have some friend/relative coming from US, buy it directly from US. I bought it from US last month during my visit there. It is cheaper too. $76 including all. Available in Walmart stores as well as online.

Bought from Geekbuying , it took almost 40 days to reach me through " Free shipping " mode

And most importantly have to Pay 1200₹ extra for customs which I had to pay during the delivery [emoji17][emoji17]

Did they (customs) asked you to send invoice and bank payment details or they valued on their own and released the parcel ?
I ordered mi box from banggood now its in chennai customs office retained for unspecified reason.

No , it's been delivered through the India post , but took a lot of time 20-25 days for customs clearance alone , heard now a days it's taking more time than that

i bought one from aliexpress few months back .am willing t sell it if u are interested as i have bought a 55 inch 4k android tv .
