Android Help!! Redmi 1S dropped in water...

Hi Guys,

My sister's Redmi 1s dropped in water, I dried it up in rice for 3 days, now the mobile is starting and showing display but touch is not working, also it keep on restarts on its own when on battery.
I did not take it to service center as they will not honor the warranty since it is liquid damage and replacing display costs about 4k. Can i replace the LCD and digitizer on it, will it work? the link is below:

or shall i discard this mobile and buy a new one? Please suggest.

3 days is a short period. Let it dry for atleast a week more. Change rice if it is not dry. Also keep it under a high speed fan. Place the phone in rice removing battery and back cover.
