Help regarding K790i

hi guys,

yesterday, some weird thing happened with my k790i. Suddenly, i couldn't read any text or messages on the screen. I mean all i can see are some random letters all over it. For eg: instead of showing the words "Inbox", it is displaying only "b". However, i am able to make and receive calls.

Please explain what could be the problem.
 
Take it to service center (or try yourself) and get a firmware flash done. But ensure that you backup all your data (messages, phonebook etc) before proceeding.
 
^^ It is supposedly bit risky but with good tutorial you can very well do it. PM a_k_s_h_a_y as he knows a lot about SE phones firmwares and modding it.
 
You can use XS++ for flashing using USB cable. I've done that on my W710i. K790i has the same OS. IIRC, basically you need to flash it with firmware and then put some customizing files on it. (I waited for my warranty to get over and tried flashing the first day it went out-of-warranty :) Simple steps only, but I did it so long back, I don't remember a thing now.)

Look at SE-nse website, they've tutorials explaining the process.
