Hi guys,
I am having Acer 5570 series laptop which is not powering up whatever i do. Its out of warranty so need help here.
I tried reinserting ram but that didnt help. I also tried powering it up on combinations as battery powered and solely on AC power. It actually shows battery being charges / fully charged status by LED indicator on its body but nothing else happens.
Its config is like Core Solo T1400, 2GBx1 Kingston Ram, + 512 MB that came with the laptop, 60 GB hdd and some version of 945 chipset.
I got its service manual on net and I wanted to try changing its CMOS battery but dismantling it, is a bit tricky with some lock-pins.
I tried googling but not getting any worthy results. I am also doing compulsory residential course and getting a net access and trying different things with the laptop is a bit difficult. I go home only sundays and few Saturdays.
Some tips to troubleshoot and or get it repaired in pune would really be appreciated as my bro uses it for his office work (and he has no alternative arrangement like pc etc.) Its lying unused for 3 weeks now probably.
Note: I may visit TE on cell once a day (on old nokia 6630 which is not that web friendly) so it may take a while for me to reply back to ur suggestions.
