Though a lot of ppl buy mobiles from grey market, thrs just no way to tell if its refurbished or new!! Thts the element of risk involved with grey market stuff...but if u buy stuff from reputed shops, the chances of getting a bad product are reduced to some extent..but the risk is still there...so you decide, whether u want to save some money and take the risk or pay more n have peace of mind.. If u buy from big shops like alpha, u'll most probably get a good product, cos they have their reputation at stake...i've bought a few cellphones from alpha w/o bill, and all have worked flawlessly for me...

alrite i got this phone for 12k. Its brand new not refurb or used. Everything seems to be working fine except I keep on getting "Ciphering Not Active" message during a phone call. I read on the internet that its the problem of the sim and the network opertor. I have a Hutch connection here in punjab. But i used the same sim in my older fone w800i, i used to get that message occasionly not regularly, but in this case i am getting this message on each and every call i make/receive. Is something wrong with the fone?
