Storage Solutions Help with 500GB HDD

I am planning to buy 2 new 500Gb HDDs to run in RAID0

Please recommend which HDD to purchase..

I have gone through various post and found that the best 500GB HDDs are as follows

From WD : WD5000AAKS
and
From Seagate : ST3500418S

WD offers 5 year warranty
Seagate offers 3 year warranty.

Please suggest...:huh:

also please recommend any other drive you feel are better than these...

But before buying seagate hdd just check it should be 7200.12 not 7200.11 since 7200.11 have very high failure rate. I'm too enjoying seagate 500gb 7200.12 hdd.

Go 4 wd. No seagate.

Have you verified the warranty times? Seagate here is on 5 & WD is on 3

For internal HDDs warranty is 5 years for both seagate & WD.
IMO go for WD
