Help with a spare router

First and fioremost are u able to create Wan profiles on ur Airtel Modem/Router (ONT) ?

If you are able to create new Wan profiles then it means you will be able to setup ur TP Link Archer on Bridge mode which will take care of DHCP & DNS
If the Wan profiles settings are greyed out it means you will need to contact Airtel to enable bridge mode on ur Airtel modem.

I am currently on Airtel xsterme and this is my setup

How do I check if WAN profiles can be created?

Wouldn't it be simpler to just connect own router to ont via ethernet & put it in dmz zone of ont? No need to contact customer care (which one has to do irrespective of wan profile status because of additional authentication for the non-ISP device at the backend) & it works almost same as bridge mode setup.

I have connected my TP link router to Airtel router via Ethernet. But how do I put it in the DMZ zone of ont?

@zoozoo when u access ur Airtel ONT, you can create New Wan connection via + or a new wan button under the WAN section of your ONT.
If those options are greyed out then it means you need to contact Airtel.

This is how I am anle to do it on my Airtel Huawei ONT

Go to firewall/network setting & there should be a dmz option there with "add device" option, just select your tp link router device there after confirming its ip address from the list of connected devices in airtel router status/network page.

How old is this connection? I don't think airtel or any isp nowadays give option to set their provided router in bridge mode without contacting them first.
