Help with Logarithms

hey guys,

i hve test tomm on financial management n i hve to revise logs which we had done in school. i m getting very confused as where to put the decimal point or 1 bar...and i cant find material to revise the same. Can any1 pls post a link explaining logs in simple words.

How to solve this equation:

In(Vs/E)

where : In = natural log, i.e, to the base "e", Vs = 165, E= 150

is this correct:
In(Vs/E) - where Vs=165, E=150

=log 1.1 / log e

It is correct.
ln(165/150) = ln(165) - ln(150) = ln(1.1)(165/150 = 1.1)
ln e = 1
So,

ln(165/150) = ln 1.1 / ln e
