help with motorolaA920

ive got a motorolaA920 PDA . when i connect it 2 my comp my mobile recognises the connection but my comp does not detect the phone . wat to do? http://www.techenclave.com/forums/images/smilies/confused1.gif

i presume u have installed all the drivers for the cable and the phone...

try sending smthing thru the phone to the PC...
Also check if u have paired the phone with the PC...

Alternatively u can try using a diffrent software for transferring data such as datapilot or Mobimb

Does the phone get detected as a USB Flash drive? If not, then you need the Motorola's official software for connecting to your PC (normally supplied on a CD with the phone)

If its all a hassle, just get a blutooth dongle available for rs 500-800 easy.

ive installed the motorola's official software , but there is no indication of the pc connected to the phone. and data on the phone could be accessed from pc only so no way to send data from phone to comp

but u say ur phone recognises the connection...so if u selct a file and use the option of send...it shuld go to the PC

Motorolos software acts like a file explorer so you have to do nothing from your phone.

The first step here is to get your phone detected by the software!! Once it does, MMC and internal storage memory will show up and from there you can send/extract any file.
