help with movers and packers anyone?

Please avoid Agarwal Packers & Movers like plague. A lot of them have had horrendous experiences with them.
Whatever service you finally rely on, ensure that your luggages are neatly packed with loads of bubble wraps/gunny bags/hardboard/plywood as the need be and stowed in the carrier and locked. There have been numerous instances wherein the carriers take breaks between the stops and the guys (essentially the driver and his support) seemed to have stolen a lot of goods.
Dismantle your furniture if it lets you do that and wrap them up appropriately and stow it.

+1 to the posts above! Moved using them about 3 months ago and they were beyond bad. Took thrice as long as they were supposed to, they were meant to come in at 10am and they'd turn up at 7pm move for 3 hours and say we'll continue tomorrow. No senior person would come to the phone, the operator would say its a horrible place to work and that she's planning on quitting too! 
Ended up paying them only 1/3 of what we were supposed to.
Anyway, enough of me ranting, try Writers, they're really good but quite expensive. My cousin who gets furniture and stuff moved between Bombay, Chennai and Europe (very often) says they're far better than any international or other Indian moving company.

+1 for Writer's, very professional - all my goods were transported from B'lore to Hyd without a single thing damaged / misplaced / anything else. Although they took a couple of days more than they told me, definitely recommended.
As for the costs, I don't know, got it as relocation package from new company

I last used unison and their service is really good. Don't think I am going to use any other company. They handle things pretty professionally IMO.
