Help with OPNSense, Airtel XStream & bridge mode

I think if your router has static IP then that IP, gateway, dns has to be configured else PPPoE. I don't think both will work together. Why do you want to dial PPPoE if you already have static IP assigned. @napstersquest Can confirm on this
You are absolutely right. Just make sure VLAN ID while setting bridge mode is specified on the Airtel router, otherwise you won't be able to access internet. Applies for both PPPoE and Static IP.

Is this specific to opnsense ? Because currently I am using deco x20 as router and I only added PPPoE details and no VLAN ID and it works.

VLAN ID needs to be added in your Airtel router while setting up bridge mode. I guess it's already done since it is working. You won't have to change anything when you move to opnsense.
(you might need to restart opnsense to get it to work, sometimes doesn't work without reboot)
