Help with universities for B-Tech

guys i'm grounded a little bit .. so posting this from cafe.
i've finished my 12th and due to some of my idiocracy i didnt appeared in any of JEE exams...ewxcpt apearing for a test in symbiosis pune.
i'd like for a smallhelp from the fellow members if they can tell me a list of good universities anywhere in india providing BTEK computer science i'd be deligted.
and wil they take admission without entrance.
results will be out in june i'm kinda absolutely desperate to get in a good college :/ i have a good GPA lemme know guys.
in the mweantime i;ve been azpplying in some of schools in us but i asint sure about tht i am going there for undergrad due to some unfair circumstances.
thts why as a backup i'd be glad to know some of good univ here.
i'll probably read this thread again tomorrow.

And Btek I hope means B tech which is a Bachelor of Technology which I think is the same as BE in some universities.

You can try BITS Pilani. One of the very best in India. They do have an entrance exam. Once your results are announced, you send in an application with a copy of your marks card.

And you didnt even write AIEEE??
 
^^^Yup,u can try any of the CETs like EAMCET (Andhra pradesh)KCET (Karnataka) or TCET (Tamil nadu) but i think their last dates for applying are over too...

BITS surely has an entrance exam and it is online-based! The time for applying is over...And had you applied then you could choose the date when you would like to take the test between May1 and June 10th!

And yes you can apply direclty to BITS too only if you top your respective Board exam i.e. CBSE Topper, State Board Topper etc.!

All dates to apply to Engg. Colleges are over! I mean the BEST ones!

BEST are: IIT-JEE AIEEE BITS VITEE(Vellore Inst.)

@x86 try some state level engg entrances..!

And direct admission is possible only on donation to the collges, ranging in lakhs!
 
BITS entrance test is BITSAT, application date ie waaay over. I think one of the only ones still open is ComedK for Karnataka Colleges. U might wanna check that out.
 
Joe, were you drunk when you wrote that message? Your spelling is atrocious. Anyway, by this time just about all application dates will be over.. most are in feb/march latest. I think you need to seriously rethink your strategy. In your case, a BCA+MCA might be better. BCA can be replaced with anu other degree for that matter.
 
guys .. no i wasnt drunk. I was from a cafe. lemme tell you the whole story.
i finished class 10 from ICSE board.
then due to lack of ICSE 12th school here and due to all quotas in the Kendriya Vidyalayas i was forced to get in THE damn **** west bengal board.
i was a first boy in my class till 10 as soon i entered wb board tings started worsening.
the syllabus of wb board and cbse differs like hell and heaven that is why i didnt managed to prepare for aieee besides preparing for board new question new patterns!! and bengali was my biggest concern which i even failed in 11.then jaundice etc etc :(.

Rt now i've applied to some schools of us waiting for their reply.Now see i'm quite sure i'll get admitted there problem is its totally unjustified to spend 30 lakhs for a bachelors degree and study abroad so if i wont get any good aids i wont go its tht smiple.

so i need a backup here.

and guys no my wb exams just finished on april 16th [including practicals].
so you can see i'm not tht late after my exams and guys i'vent applied to any of colleges in india except the pune symbiosis test which is in 4th june which i registered online.
i want to know any karnataka dates and stuffs.. but keeping in mind i'm from wb and studied wb syllabus which dont even teaches damn thermodynamics in chemistry!! :( i'm frustated. its getting much tuffer for me :/.
are there any colleges that apprecate thesis work or background more than something entrance?
donation can be paid but not in lakhs!!.
let me know what will be best for me to do.. as i want to do my mtek in mecatronics and nanotech abroad [determined] so bca or btek in comp sc? and from where.. atleats a good university from which i can even get some credit transfer incase of any lucky situation.

If you want to go abroad then you MUST get an engg degree of some sort. BCA will not cut it. That too you will probably need one in Electronics. But most application dates will be over!! Apart from the fact that you do not have the required knowledge of the subjects (no thermodynamics???????). Maybe you will have to drop a year..
 
oh man man man .. and i dont wanna drop any year :( .. are their are good universities then say ofering bca? and umm electronics wud be better or comp sc .. i real wanna go the comp sc way thx!
 
Chk the dates for your West-Bengal CET! That one will be entirely based on your state syllabi!

And BITS is not associated with IIT dude!

Most of the state entrances are based on their respective state syllabi!

Google for Karnataka CET Cell...ASFIK only Anna University(Tamil Nadu CET) dates are left over! Last date for the same is 02.05.06!

Sorry Joe, but you "cannot" get admission to any B-Tech course now.

I'm preparing for most of the comp. exams as well and all of them close around Jan.

Your best hope would be to skip a year, go to Kota and prepare throughly for JEE else stay at home and study.

Otherwise, B Sc. / BCA is the only option left my freind...

Chemical is the best one ifthe ulterior motive is gng to the US :P....(Relatively) much lower GRE scores and much lower CGPA in ur undergrad will get you a fullschol in a decent univ ;)

anish temme some good bca univs :/.
i really cant afford to loose a year as i already lost a year in class 11 due to jaundice and also i'm just 18 :/.

king ,, BCA WILL NOT CUT IT? what does this means :/ means bca wont do incase i wanna go aborad for my post studies?
 
USA does not recognise 3 year BSC/BCA courses. The visa requirements as well as college requirements are against you here.

Unless you do a four year engg course, you cannot get in. Sorry.

a small good news comed exam in karnataka and for bangalore forms r not yet out so thers a chance.
I hope guys i'll get in one of colleges .. dunno how much good i'll do in the exam since it is based on cbse syllabus.

You will need BE/Btech if you want to do Mtech from Pune University.
 
i'm badly badly badfly screwed .. any ideas how much $$$ i need ot get in management quotas and temme the name of the univs which r good bout it.
i dont ant a univ tht will loose its aicte within some years.
