Hi CPU utilization.

HI recently i have observed that my cpu utilization is very high .I m not running any applications just started the machine and it shows lot of spikes most of the time its 100%.
Please help.

It could be your AV, Firewall or such software, they do process a lot in the start.

task manager-> check which process is consuming most CPU time.

Post starting and reaching the desktops for 1-2 minutes, you occasionally get 100% hit spikes, since services and drivers are still loading. But after around 3-4 minutes it should be absolutely idle usage, unless the virus client has kicked in, or you might have a virus. Check the task manager carefully, or post a Hijack log.

Go to the task manager process and sort by mem Usage. This will give you clear picture of which process is using loads of memory.

Its not the memory its C.p.u that is creating a problem.

What is the configuration of the machine? Anti viruses consume a lot of resources. Disable it and check the cpu utilization.
