If fridges and washing machines can handle fluctuations and not require a stabiliser then this problem should not be happening with ACs.Exactly now days it all boils down to the customer service in your area. Also avoide inverter ACs especially from daikin as they have a super high pcb breakdown problem basically if you don't have a servo in your house (mostly don't) any fluctuations in the voltage have increased chances of blowing out the pcb. Source is my friend is a authorised daikin and Mitsubishi channel partner.

As low as that? thought it might be closer to 2kW or more. They all have 16A plugs, isn't it?Single phase usually supplies up to 5KW in some places and 7.5KW in other. 1.5 ton inverter AC usually takes 1.5KW when running under a full load. So you are fine as long as the wiring is good.
