Audio Home Theater / Speaker System for TV

Diwali is approaching. .and that means only one thing. . Bankruptcy !! :comfort:

So I want to buy a Home Theater / Speaker System for my LG 42 LED TV so that I can finally go ahead and watch all the movies with full awesomeness !!

Basically, I do not need that BLU Ray/DVD Player that comes with the Home Theater as I am mostly going to stream my content. . so was wondering if I could make do with some good set of speakers. . i.e 5.1 or 7.1 setup with Optical Audio Out and stuff. .

My budget is around 15-20k max. . what brand/product would give me the best bang for the buck in this range ?:victorious:

Any good suggestion ?

Basic audiophile category you can start with onkyo 3300, 3400 or 3500. Or in the Denon range for pure HT experience. But for your price range samsung, sony would go the way. But do not expect same/similar quality output from audiophile brands (onkyo, denon, yamaha etc). If you plan to keep the system for couple of years and need a non-ear-fatigue experience better go for the audiophile range with increase in your budget. It's worth money. (You can get these even in instalments!!)
 
pls avoid sony however , if you could up your budget onkyo 3300/3400 would be the best bet for movies. Ele logitech z-5500 should be in your budget if it is available. but best thing would be is to go out and check for yourself. :)
