Re: Car damaged by Service centre.

^Ha so those guys're re-known for screwing the cars! Lamers. Screw their reputation I say. Write to all the major auto mags' editors. Call their customer service and tell them right away, you need a total overhaul or a replacement. What is this company upto? Bunch of retards who's shoved up some spade up theirs!

Totally sympathise with you funky. :(

Re: Car damaged by Service centre.

funky - the thread I posted has pretty much the whole process of what he had to do, and probably, you will.

If you have any doubts, and dont hesitate to ask the dude. he's been there, done that :D

some pics of the damage would be helpful. I seriously doubt they were just 'moving it about the garage'

Re: Car damaged by Service centre.

Rats, this sucks man. So what's the update?

Also did you personally drop the car at the service center or did they pick it up from you?

If the damage happened in the workshop ask them to fix it for free plus some money for damages and possible expenses that you may face in the future.

From the way u describe it, there is a high possibility that there might be structural damage to the car which as many mentioned earlier reduces the resale value of the car drastically. So you will have to consider this too and work it out accordingly.

The best possible outcome for you is they give you a new car (extremely slim chances).

Next thing that you could possibly settle for is if they fix it completely and give you like a 6-18 month free replacement/repair deal for the entire car.

Re: Car damaged by Service centre.

Just one more heads up on the insurance front. Note that the NCB is not just a 1 year effect. The NCB slides up from 20% to 50% over a period of 4-5 years. In case of a claim it resets to 0 and starts sliding all over again. So the loss will affect your insurance premium for the next 4-5 years. One more reason not to let them use your insurance.

Best scenario - demand and get a new car

Alternative bare minimum - Replacement, not repair of every damaged part.

Re: Car damaged by Service centre.

OK guys here is an update.

And before I go on, just to inform you guys that car was dropped off at their service station personally. it wasnt a pickup. I never arrange pickups for this exact same reason.

The car has no structural damage. basically 2 cars were involved in accidents (both honda cities ). The person who called thought other car was ours which was in absolutely pieces at rear end.

Mine is bumped up pretty badly, boot cover, bumper, lights, side panel, bumper beam all need replacement. But I took mechanic with me to the shop today. He inspected chassis and its not damaged.

They were still not ready to give spare car until this is repaired, neither were they ready to bear the entire cost of damage and were insisting that I use my insurance and its the only way.

I had taken printout of the TBHP thread with me today when I went to talk to them. and showed it to them that they did do entire thing free of cost in past.

Still they were not ready to budge. Finally had to raise my voice. Even their terms and conditions say they they are not liable for damage in case of natural disaster, fire, damaged which is out of their hand ".

Now this was not out of their hand, it was claraly their mistake. And when we threatened to take it up with Honda and Police, they finally budged.

Finally got a written letter from them that they will fix the car. Took pics of photos and took signature of the service head on the same confirming the damage.

Car should be ready in 6-7 days. Going there again today evening to make sure they have ordered parts from Honda (were not in stock, they said they will place the order by today evening which I am definitely making sure they did as I want all new replacement parts ).

Here are the pics.

Here is the written confirmation I got from them.

I will be forwarding this entire material to Honda India if they create any problems.

Will keep updating you guys.

Re: Car damaged by Service centre.

LOL @ these lamers! Maybe you should bump the TBHP thread with this news and keep those guys intimated so that fewer peeps with Honda cars approach them henceforth.

Re: Car damaged by Service centre.

Good to know that severe damage was not done to the car as they mentioned. Good work mate.

Saw the TBHP thread too. How can they be so careless? Seems this is a regular affair. I think even local garages take care of our cars better than these guys.

I would post there. but TBHP is yet to verify my account. I never re-registered on TBHP after that server meltdown few yes back took out many accounts.
I have registered again yesterday to post about this under username "Shripad". Lets see...
Updated the thread title. This deserves to be indexed....

Re: Honda City 1.5S MT Damaged by Linkway Honda Service Centre

As said by me earlier and now again i will personally suggest to all HONDA users (Mumbai) here to drive their car at ARYA Honda for any kind of servicing. Those guys are very careful and professional in every aspect and you cant compare their service to others.

Linkway has a long chain of bad remarks and they are unfortunately spoiling Honda's goodwill.

Thats not a solution to be honest.

Linkway is only practical service centre for guys who live and work in western north suburbs. And in terms of service, they have been really good so far. This is definitely case of careless handling of customer cars. And they need to get their act together and filter out employees who are permitted to move cars around.

And I have 2 years comprehensive service contract with them. If they create any problem regarding this. I will simply ask for termination of contract, complete refund and over that complete compensation regarding this from them.

Thankfully, all the laws regarding such cases are in favour of consumers. So I dont think they will risk escalating this issue any further. If they do, even I wont take it laying down.

Actually No plate is in pic on purpose ;)
And its in public on purpose as well. Noting to hide here. No privacy concerns about number plate.
Let this be in public so in future anyone facing such issue with them can take this as a proof and example just like I was able to with TBHP thread.

Re: Honda City 1.5S MT Damaged by Linkway Honda Service Centre

honda service centers handle the cars badly--we gave our honda city for a routine service last october it came back with the AC malfunctioning - we were charged for the AC repairing.

Re: Honda City 1.5S MT Damaged by Linkway Honda Service Centre

Oh no. is this the Linkway Honda Goregaon/Malad?

I think i have seen some of the guys who are designated drivers for the workshop and trust me i know that they are very irresponsible with customer cars or even anything that is not their property in general.

They drive very rashly while ferrying vehicles from one outlet to another, while going for testdrives pre or post service if owner not present and even inside the workshop where they will try movie-like stunts like fast reverse/parking, etc.

Sometimes they do take the vehicles out for personal errands too i feel. :(
