i am again asking why ppl preferring viewsonic or lg over dell????

I will answer for my purchase of the Viewsonic, I never buy anything which I have to wait for, prefer to walk into a shop and pay and buy on the spot, even if a Dell 24" was sold for 15,000/- and I was asked to wait a week or two then I would rather buy the Viewsonic 22" for 15,000/- across the counter. This is why you will never see my name in any GO :)

AAh sir u talk jus like my mom......Have more faith on self.......good good...need to learn this stuff

Exactly the reason why I went ahead with my purchase of ViewSonic VX2255wmb... the wait (3-4 weeks) for Dell was killing me.

cant edit........ moreover, everyone says VS after sales service SUCKS. so only choice i m left with is LG. what r ur views??

nope.....i need something in between Rs 15000 - Rs 17000. cant spend all money on monitor...need to buy other stuff too like procy, 8600gt etc :)

feature wise which one is better??

E228WFP 22 or LG L226WTQ

i mean the response time, contras, brightness, dvi-in, hdmi etc. i haven't used any lcd monitor previously so, i cant compare :(

going by the specification, LG L226WTQ scores over dell E228WFP

some key feature comparisons:
response time :
lg - 2ms (GTG)
dell - 5ms
Viewing Angle
lg - 170 / 170
dell - 160/160
Contrast Ratio
lg - 5000:1(DFC)
dell - 800:1
PC Input / Output
lg - DVI-D/ D-Sub
dell - Analog, DVI-D (Digital) with HDCP
Stand
lg - Stand Alone:Yes,Swivel:Yes,Tilt:Yes,Base detachable:Yes
dell - Tilt:Yes
Accessory
lg - Power Cord:Yes,DVI-D:Yes,D-Sub:Yes
dell - none :@

considering the above feature, LG seems to be a good deal. what u say??

There are some issues with the way you are comparing things.

Dell lists their response time as rise+fall. Cant compare the 2 directly. They both are likely to have similar rise+fall response times.

Cant compare dynamic contrast ratio of the LG to normal CR of Dell. They are probably quite close in their normal contrast ratios.

FTI, Dell comes with the power cord, VGA cable and the DVI cable.

Raghu.
