considering a member's experience (can't remember who) you can get your Dell LCD changed 10 times and still not be satisfied with it... :)

After sales service generally sucks but in Dell's case you can't go wrong...

@painkiller

I was referring to http://www.techenclave.com/forums/dell-warranty-rocks-99623.html

Can't expect other companies based in India to replace LCD's in such short amount of time and offer exchange upgrade cashback choices at the same time depending on circumstances.

To top it all with a cherry even if not satisfied with replacement (due to genuine reasons of course) keep asking for more replacements until full satisfaction :)

LG Intros New LCD Monitor Range

LG Electronics India has launched its new range of LCD monitors, available in 19-inches and 20-inches wide sizes.

LG claims the LCD monitors are ideal both for business and entertainment as they can be modified into ready-to-watch television monitors.
The newbies offer a high digital fine contrast ratio of 5000:1 (DFC), and ultra-fast response times of 5 milliseconds, backed by LG's f-engine, which is an embedded picture correction technology. And, they integrate PAL tuners for TV viewing, doubling as desktop TVs, without having to connect to computers.

The new range comprises the L194WS, L194WT, M1921A, M198WA, and M208WA
LCD monitors.

The L194WS is a 19-inches wide monitor with f-engine and DFC. It features: sRGB and Intelligent Auto (Auto Resolution), resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels and 300 nits brightness, 5000:1 contrast ratio, 170/170 viewing angle, and 5 milliseconds response time. The L194WS is available for Rs 12,700.

The L194WT, is also a 19-inches wide model, with ARC. This HDCP Ready monitor has a resolution of 1440 x 900 pixels, and a 300 nits brightness. It comes for Rs 13,700.

The 19-inches M1921A has a 4:3 aspect ratio, and comes equipped with features such as f-Engine and integrated PAL TV tuner. The M1921A is priced at Rs 18,900.

Also 19-inches wide, the M198WA has a 16:10 aspect ratio. Apart from other common features, this TV monitor can double as both a desktop monitor and a TV - ready for desktop viewing. Courtesy the integrated PAL TV tuner, the TV monitor can function as a TV without having to connect to a computer. This one carries a price tag of Rs 18,200.

The last of the series, the M208WA, is a 20-inches wide-screen monitor with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It has a digital fine contrast ratio of 3000:1, and, with the integrated PAL TV tuner, it can function as a desktop TV sans connection to a computer. The M198WA costs Rs 19,700.

LCDs that offer true 8-bit color depth will provide a more contiguous grayscale with no dithering artifacts. They are better especially in the darker shades of color. 6-bit LCDs tend to experience artifacts in darker colors, although more recent ones that implement an algorithm called Hi-FRC (high frame rate control) have made the artifacts virtually invisible to the human eyes. TN panels are physically incapable of producing 256 levels of gray (true 8-bit), so naturally, they must employ Hi-FRC.
