Hi Team ,

I was looking to get NVme 2242 SSD for my laptop , there are very few for this form factor.
EVM has NVme M.2 1 TB in 2242 form factor.

Thanks! I can see them selling evm 1tb sata m.2 ssd. Cannot find anywhere else for that size. But can't find good branded one.

I have bought 2 x 1TB SSDs and 1 X 512GB SSD from EVM. All SATA. And I would say they're... okay.

I would probably not use them as my primary OS drive, unless you're on an absurdly tight budget and you have a 7+ year old laptop/PC which you'd want to upgrade to an SSD. The reason why I say that is, I noticed when I used the EVM SSDs as my primary OS drive (Windows 10), the drive would reach 100% SSD usage on every boot, for at least a minute. And during this period, the OS was not as responsive. This happened with all 3 of the EVM SSDs, but never with any other brand SSD I used as an OS drive (SATA or M.2).

If you're planning to use them as storage drive, they should be fine. I cannot comment on their longevity, because I've had these for only about 4-5 months, but they do come with a 5 year warranty. What the after sales service looks like for EVM, is yet to be seen.

TL;DR: If you're planning to use the SSD for mostly storage, it should be fine. If you're planning to use it as a primary OS drive, I'd look at the likes of Crucial, Seagate or WD.
