PC Peripherals how bout my system :: recommend speakers

hi guyz

thanks for all ur replies and suggestions.
as u know i've just got my new rig. so can't chang it so early. u know how parents are!!!
neways, u guyz havent told me regarding a good speaker set.plz do tell.

What is your budget for the speakers?? What is the usage?? If it is for movies+music+_games, then go for the Logitech Z-5300. Read reviews abt it on the net.... it is really an awesome set....

But if it MUSIC, MUSIC and more MUSIC, then go for an Altec Lansing MX 5021.

If you have an extra large budget, then go for the Logitech Z-5500 Digital. They are AWESOME. and cheaper than the Creative Megaworks 5.1 550.
 
If thats a hard limit, get an altec 251 for around 4K or something if you must have 5.1. A better option is to get an altec 621 which should easily come in the budget. They are only 2.1 but sound awesome. However my advice is to spend 2 grand more and get an MX5021. Oh btw what sound card do you have?

i do have a sony 9000w 5.1 home theatre at home. is there any way to connect my pc to the music system and the television. i have samsung tv 29"

Put the TV to the s-video out of the video card and connect the coaxial audio out of the motherboard to the digital in of your music system's receiver using normal coaxial audio cable.
 
sorry but my television doesn't have a s-video input.

You should have gotten an svideo to composite adaptor + cables with the graphics card. Didn't you? Just connect one end to the tv out on ur card and put the other end into the composite video in port of the tv.

connecting comp to tv via s-video... does this work well/look good?? 'cause iv heard that TVs have ultra-hi resolutions (esp 29" and above)
