how do i split files?

suppose i have a 700mb file.. and i want to upload it on mediafire..would like to split it in to 100mb files each in rar format.. how do i do that?? plz help

oh k..one more thing, sounds stupid, but me uploading a 700mb file, will it be equal to downloading one??? cause i have a download limit in my connection.. and will get charged extra if cross tht..

yes it will be 700, or maybe even more since there will be soem overhead. so 770MB is a decent figure

Or you can use 7-Zip also , its free and 7Zip is also a gr8 compression format.

Was just trying out Slice'n'Merge (have not used it for a long time now until I saw this post).
The thing I like about it the most is that you do not need the executable to merge the files later on again.
The thing I like the least is that it does not create a start menu link to itself on XP (however the install and un-install is easy just extract/delete).

Just thought it might be useful to know this.
