How do i unlock Verizon Motorola droid 3 for tata CDMA??

Hi
recently i bought droid 3 verizon phone from US for my brother who wants to use his TATA CDMA connection.But I noticed that the phone works well with GSM and not with CDMA.Strangely it acquires some network without SIM too. But it is not getting service for any of CDMA SIM.Please help me to unlock or if there is some service (paid or free) to unlock it for TATA CDMA.

You will need to check the ESN and register the ESN with docomo or reliance for CDMA.

But I think that there is some sort of programming needs to be done...Is that right?

No programming. FIrst see if your ESN is clean then there is a guy on the forum that can help you register ur esn with Reliance or docomo for a small fee.Then visit the customer care outlet, provide your documents and Phone ESN, and wait for them to activate the connection. Once registered, dial *228 and ur phone is activated.

I' m using droid3 with omh sim.

Better than flashing for TATA. No problems to remove activation when selling the phone.

Since it's a world phone, you can use ANY sim, GSM or CDMA.
